Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential for infection control in hospitals, particularly during the recent virus pandemic. However, the effectiveness is dependent on whether the PPE is properly used. Regular practice is thus necessary to recall how to put on and take off PPE appropriately. In this regard, we develop a web-based computer simulation program as a supplement to conventional training approaches by providing more learning opportunities.

The simulation is based on the research published in the article “Using Interactive Computer Simulation for Teaching the Proper Use of Personal Protective Equipment” in the journal CIN: Computers, Informatics, Nursing, volume 33, issue 2, pages 49-57, February 2015. The article is available via this link.

The PPE usage simulation program is provided for free as a support to healthcare practitioners at the frontline. Click the START button below to access the program and follow the flashing instructions at the top of the screen. You will need to provide your email address. Rest assured that your email address is only used for login and no other purposes. If you have any comments or feedbacks, please send to info@techcosmos.com.hk.
